Harvest 2019

A wet harvest this year meant a hard day of picking in persistent and constant rain. However, the 2019 harvest is now ‘in the bag’ and the Cossack (Auxerrois and Rulander blend for our fizz), Madeleine Angevine and Schonburger promise, once again, to be excellent wines, although the readings for sugar and acid are unsurprisingly down on the exceptional 2018 vintage.

As always, a huge thank you must go to our merry band of volunteer pickers, with many first-timers this year, who performed their task with great good humour, despite the weather.
