We wish all our customers, suppliers, pickers and supporters a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
A bumper harvest this year meant two very hard days of picking in warm and dry conditions. The 2018 harvest is now ‘in the bag’ and the Cossack (Auxerrois and Rulander blend for our fizz), Madeleine Angevine and, in particular, the Schonburger promise to be excellent wines, with very good readings for sugar and acid and a delicious flavour.
As always, a huge thank you must go to our merry band of volunteer pickers, who performed their task with great good humour, despite the first day being a lot longer than anticipated!

Danebury Summer 2018
We have had a very successful summer, attending the New Forest Show for the first time in many years, as well as Trout ‘n’ About in Stockbridge, with our Madeleine Angevine proving very popular at both events. The sixth Vineyards of Hampshire Festival was, once again, an overwhelming success, with over 800 visitors enjoying the event on a lovely hot summer’s day, proving yet again here is really no better way to enjoy an English summer than with a cool, crisp glass of English fizz or still white wine in your hand!

After two hard days of picking in warm, dry conditions, the 2017 harvest is now ‘in the bag’! Both the Madeleine Angevine and the Schonburger promise to be excellent wines, with very good readings for sugar and acid and a delicious flavour. The Auxerrois/Rulander blend that goes into making our sparkling wine suffered in the late May frost, so the quantity is considerably down, however the readings are good, so we are hopeful that it will be a ‘small, but perfectly formed’ vintage.
Once again, a huge thank you must go to our merry band of volunteer pickers, who performed their task with great good humour, despite the day being a bit longer than anticipated!
Following the recent acid and sugar tests, we have decided to pick the Madeleine Angevine on Tuesday 26th September 2017 and the remaining varieties on Saturday 14th October 2017. We look forward to welcoming our merry band of pickers and are keeping our fingers crossed for good weather and a successful harvest!
